I got this book and I couldn’t believe my eyes. They must have just published this or Sean Odom has a major in with Google. Google Instant and Google Instant preview just came out and already there is instructions on how to optimize your website for it. I am really educating myself with SEO and I must say that I don’t think this book has missed anything from A to Z. I highly recommend this book.

Why Mr. Odom released this book is a mystery to me. It’s a bit sad, I suppose the information in this book might be helpful if the book was readable. I have never in my life seen such a mess of bad typos, unreadable sentences, titles and headings which do not match content. To add to this, every few pages he throws in a bit about his expertise in the SEO industry. I would never trust a guy who releases an unedited, unreadable book with my SEO business. SEO is about attention to detail and business relationships are about trust. This book is an effort to make a quick buck at the readers expense. Seems like he’s shooting himself in the foot with this blunder.

A lot of good content, also a lot of commercials, January 7, 2011

Not a bad book for the price. As the other reviewer mentioned, he has some extremely up to date content which is critical in a book on any internet subject. Unfortunately, there is also a lot of “If you run into this, hire a professional like me at http://www...”. It didn’t bother me during the first half of the book, but it got really annoying really fast. I don’t mind the self selling in a free product, but when I pay for electronic content I expect the commercials be kept to a minimum. The book is also horribly edited, and contains several notes from the editor still in the text (it’s actually funny).

Overall not a bad value. The “use a professional” tag throughout the second half of a book really turned me off, but I knew more about the subject when I was done with the book then I did when I started. I would of ranked it higher if it was lacking the commercials or half the price.
